Role

The Director of Talent Management is responsible for managing and coordinating organization-wide efforts to ensure that the learning programs, performance management, employee survey, succession planning, DEI and retention initiatives are developed and managed using a data-driven focus that sets priorities for improvements aligned to ongoing strategic imperatives. This position will also own the overall talent management strategy for the company and ensure it aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. The role finally is responsible for developing, and retaining top talent, as well as creating a positive and engaging work culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in talent management, a deep understanding of HR practices, have managed a team, and the ability to effectively lead and drive change within a dynamic organization.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Ensures that clerical staff maintain the OSHA safety log and other administrative requirements related to safety operations and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements talent management strategies, initiatives, and programs that support the learning, development, and retention of high-performing employees
  • Creates and maintains a comprehensive talent management framework
  • Will lead a team of 2 employees that focus on learning initiatives
  • Oversees the design and implementation of performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance evaluations, and feedback mechanisms
  • Drives the development and execution of employee training and development programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance
  • Develops and implements employee engagement strategies to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee satisfaction and retention
  • Collaborates with leaders and managers to identify high-potential employees and creates development plans to accelerate their growth and advance their careers
  • Designs and implements diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster a diverse workforce and promote an inclusive culture
  • Stays abreast of industry trends and best practices in talent management, and makes recommendations for continuous improvement to drive organizational performance
  • Partners with senior leadership to align talent management strategies with business objectives and drive organizational change and transformation
  • Other related job duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in using HRIS systems and talent management software

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform talent management decisions
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to design and implement talent management initiatives that align with organizational goals
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and employment laws
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of talent management
  • Proven ability to manage and lead change initiatives within an organization
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment and drive change within the organization

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in talent management, development, and retention strategies
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent management or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing talent management strategies and initiatives
  • Previous experience working with senior leaders and executives to drive talent management initiatives
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse workforce and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Previous experience in HVAC Industry or other service business preferred

  • Able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, telephone, and computer printer
  • Continuously able to work in office environment
