What You’ll Be Doing

As our Talent Development Specialist, you’ll design, implement, and manage programs that support performance management, leadership growth, succession planning, and employee career pathing. You’ll work closely with HR, business leaders, and external vendors to ensure our talent strategies align with Nextech’s business goals and culture.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of performance management processes, including goal setting and performance analytics
  • Build and maintain role-based competency frameworks to drive clarity, consistency, and development
  • Develop and manage career pathing initiatives and tools to support employee growth
  • Identify high-potential talent and design personalized development plans
  • Facilitate annual and mid-year talent reviews and succession planning efforts
  • Create and deliver scalable leadership development programs tailored to different employee levels
  • Partner with our LMS Administrator to manage course content, compliance tracking, and learning analytics
  • Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual learning sessions across departments
  • Build dashboards and reports to track learning outcomes and provide insights to leadership
  • Support change management strategies that promote talent readiness and cultural alignment
  • Coordinate logistics for learning events, vendor activities, and internal workshops
  • Promote inclusive, accessible learning initiatives aligned with Nextech’s values
  • Serve as a key contact for talent development inquiries and vendor partnerships
  • Perform other related duties as needed to support the Talent team’s mission

This role is based in Melbourne, FL with the flexibility of a hybrid schedule. Highly qualified candidates outside the area may be considered for remote work.

What We’re Looking For

You’re a forward-thinking professional who knows how to connect talent development to real business results. You’re analytical, collaborative, and driven by a passion for empowering others.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Training & Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience managing performance reviews, succession planning, and development plans
  • Strong background in competency modeling, talent assessments, and leadership development
  • Experience working in organizations with 500+ employees is highly preferred
  • Skilled in needs assessments, instructional design, and adult learning principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
  • Experience with LMS platforms, vendor management, and learning analytics
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations related to training and HR
  • Exceptional project management, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Comfortable simplifying complex topics for diverse audiences
  • Certifications in ATD, SHRM, or similar are a plus
  • Previous experience in the HVAC or service industry is a bonus

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work consistently in an office or hybrid environment
  • Must be able to sit at a computer for extended periods
  • Occasionally able to lift up to 15 lbs. and support training/event setup
  • Occasionally required to bend, kneel, reach, and carry training materials
  • Must be able to travel occasionally to support training or leadership events
