What You’ll Be Doing

The Senior Dispatcher role will be responsible for working with the Integration team to develop, coordinate, and present a training plan for Dispatchers for new Company acquisitions. The Senior Dispatcher will be responsible for traveling to newly acquired locations and providing hands-on training for Dispatchers. In addition, this role will provide ongoing training, as needed, for any assigned office locations that have onboarded a new Dispatcher and need training support. This role will coordinate and provide necessary training for all assigned newly acquired personnel. The Senior Dispatcher will work with Management and the Integration team members to facilitate dispatcher training during acquisitions in a thorough and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate will have proven success in their role as a Dispatcher. This role will require project planning and organization skills. The ideal candidate should be high-energy, a strategic thinker, and an effective communicator.

 

When not in active Integration period or training with newly onboarded Dispatchers, the Senior Dispatcher will report to local assigned office to provide additional Dispatcher support. During this time, under the general guidance from the Regional Service Manager (RSM), the Senior Dispatcher will be responsible for communicating the customer’s needs and service histories to the field employees. They must dispatch all area technicians and maintain the database per the company’s policies and procedures. The candidate must also ensure the efficiency of the field employees and provide the proper support and communication to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Travels to assigned locations and trains newly acquired Dispatchers on Company processes, policies, and procedures
  • Develops training plan for assigned Dispatcher(s)
  • Ensures training goals are met prior to end of scheduled training plan
  • Works closely with Integration team to develop onboarding plan for newly acquired locations
  • Keeps Integration team updated on Dispatcher training and acclimation to Company procedures by providing daily and/or weekly updates
  • Serves as lead Dispatcher and provide on-site support to local and/or assigned regional office/operations when not working on active Integration
  • Performs quality assurance inspections, as requested
  • Delivers high level of customer service on a consistent basis
  • Communicates the required information to the field and management, per company policy
  • Supports field personnel and management on customer and company requirements as well as making sure tasks and calls are completed in an expeditious manner
  • Treats all customers and employees with respect

Qualifications

  • Proven success in commercial HVAC Dispatcher role
  • Level-headed personality with a drive for success and the ability to focus on desired results
  • Proven ability to develop and lead others through active coaching, providing actionable feedback, and demonstrating hands-on leadership experience
  • Strong customer service skills (Internal and External Customers)
  • Ability to remain positive, proactive, and flexible
  • Must have the ability to embrace change and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Extremely high level of urgency to resolve problems
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • High level of calendar/scheduling management skills
  • High level of computer skills, proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, and SM-Plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism in all situations
  • Ability to focus on desired results

Physical Requirements

  • Must be continuously willing and able to travel up to 50% of time, or as needed.
  • Must continuously be willing and able to work out of assigned office location
  • Continuously able to work in office environment
  • Continuously able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, telephone, and computer printer
  • Continuously able to sit at a computer for up to 8 hours
  • Able to alternate between sitting and standing, as needed throughout the day
  • Occasionally able to lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking
  • Occasionally requires walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching
  • Rarely requires climbing
