What You’ll Be Doing

The Junior Talent Acquisition Partner is an integral member of the Talent Acquisition team, responsible for managing the initial stages of the recruiting process. The Junior Talent Acquisition Partner plays a critical role in the recruitment process by managing the logistics and administrative functions that ensure a seamless candidate experience, including working with the Marketing Department for Social Media Posts. Key responsibilities include utilizing various channels—such as online job boards, candidate sourcing, referral networks, and more—to identify potential candidates. This role involves reaching out to passive candidates, building talent pipelines for future hiring needs, and developing strong networking skills.

 

The ideal candidate should be adept at sourcing candidates through social media and enthusiastic about learning the specifics of various roles within the organization. The Junior Talent Acquisition Partner takes a proactive approach to understanding the company’s hiring needs and assists in filling job vacancies with qualified candidates. Additionally, this role supports Talent Acquisition Partners by conducting initial pre-screens when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with Director of Talent Acquisition on social media posts
  • Manages job posting templates within applicant tracking system (iCIMS)
  • Owns general Recruiting Mailbox
  • Identifies candidates using innovative search methods that include cold-calling, networking, deep internet sourcing, and mining
  • Coordinates with hiring managers to determine position requirements and learns about the duties and responsibilities of an open position by doing independent research, such as reviewing competitors' job openings and requirements and talking with candidates about their responsibilities and expectations in each position
  • Identifies qualified candidate profiles using various sourcing techniques (e.g., Boolean search)
  • Develops talent pipelines for future hiring needs
  • Measures conversion rates, including the number of passive candidates who turn into applicants, receive invitations to interview, receive offers, and result in a hire
  • Maintains candidate databases to track the source of candidates (e.g., via our Applicant Tracking System)
  • Promotes our employer brand online and offline
  • Follows up and communicates with past applicants regarding new job opportunities
  • Interacts with potential candidates on social media and professional networks (e.g., LinkedIn)
  • May assist with scheduling candidates to meet or talk with hiring managers and gathers/submits all required documentation to the Recruiter to process and send the offer of employment
  • May follow up with candidates throughout the onboarding process
  • Supports and coordinates training and travel requests for new hires
  • Performs other related job duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of networking and internet research techniques 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent time-management skills 
  • High degree of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail 
  • Strong knowledge of and experience working in full cycle recruitment
  • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and Candidate Management Systems (CMSs) 
  • Ability to positively present our company and open job opportunities to potential candidates 
  • Ability to balance workload and prioritize tasks 
  • Ability to maintain confidential information      
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, with minimal direction 
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of human resources practices/policies related to the new hire process
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ATS 
  • Proactive, self-starter, ability to take direction and handle constructive feedback 
  • Proactive approach to recruiting and experience building talent pools/talent communities
  • Proven success cold calling candidates and overcoming objections
  • Has working knowledge of Canva 
  • Proficiency with Social Media Posting Platforms such as HootSuite or Sprout 

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Two (2) years of experience in recruitment sourcing 
  • Associate degree or bachelor’s highly preferred 
  • Proven work experience as a Junior Talent Acquisition Partner or similar role 
  • Proven experience contacting, attracting, qualifying, and converting high-potential prospects through multiple channels 
  • Firsthand experience with sourcing techniques (e.g., recruiting on social platforms and crafting Boolean search strings)
  • HVAC Industry experience or service industry a plus 

Physical Requirements

  • Continuously able to work in office environment 
  • Continuously able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, telephone, and computer printer 
  • Continuously able to sit at a computer for up to 8 hours  
  • Able to alternate between sitting and standing, as needed throughout the day 
  • Occasionally able to lift up to 15 lbs. 
  • Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking  
  • Occasionally requires walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching
  • Rarely requires climbing
