As an Area Service Manager – Projects, you’ll take the lead in driving success across large-scale commercial projects, guiding a team of skilled Technicians, and ensuring every job meets Nextech’s gold standard of safety, quality, and performance. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll shape teams, strengthen operations, and protect Nextech’s reputation as the industry leader.
Recruit, hire, and develop top-performing Technicians to build a best-in-class workforce
Forecast staffing needs and strategically allocate Technicians to projects for maximum efficiency
Lead project coordination with internal teams and fellow Area Service Managers
Drive Technician productivity and performance through coaching, training, and hands-on mentorship
Ensure project quality by conducting site visits, ride-alongs, and pre-installation surveys
Handle escalated field issues with professionalism and solutions-driven leadership
Lead weekly project meetings to align teams on goals, safety, and technical excellence
Protect Nextech’s reputation by setting the standard in safety, integrity, and professionalism
Partner with senior leadership on performance reviews, training plans, and project goals

Demonstrated success in managing commercial HVAC/R projects and leading teams
Strong technical knowledge with the ability to coach and support field Technicians
Experience in recruiting, hiring, and developing high-performing talent
Exceptional organizational and communication skills to juggle multiple priorities
Dedication to safety, craftsmanship, and continuous learning
Ability to travel as needed to support projects
Physically able to perform site visits, including lifting, climbing ladders, and maneuvering equipment when necessary
