What You’ll Be Doing

As a Strategic Account Manager (SAM) at Nextech, you’ll be the driving force behind our most important customer partnerships — shaping growth strategies, delivering solutions, and ensuring excellence across every touchpoint. This role is about more than managing accounts; it’s about leading business impact through relationships, insight, and innovation.
You will:

  • Own annual revenue, margin, and accounts receivable goals for assigned enterprise-level clients

  • Build, strengthen, and expand long-term relationships with key customer decision-makers

  • Develop and execute comprehensive annual account plans aligned with both client goals and Nextech’s business objectives

  • Act as the primary liaison, ensuring exceptional communication between clients and Nextech’s internal operations and service teams

  • Partner with Sales Operations to manage and support contract renewals and RFP processes

  • Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities within existing accounts to drive growth and broaden service adoption

  • Assess evolving customer needs and deliver tailored, high-impact HVAC/R solutions that enhance partnership value

  • Oversee account billing and collections to optimize cash flow and ensure financial health across your portfolio

  • Represent Nextech with professionalism, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to safety, integrity, and customer success

What We’re Looking For

You’re a relationship-driven strategist with a track record of achieving results through insight, leadership, and execution. You bring a consultative mindset, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence outcomes at every level.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)

    • 5–7+ years of experience managing large regional or enterprise accounts

    • Proven success in contract negotiation, forecasting, and budgeting

    • Strong relationship-building and client management background

    • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, GoldMine, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite

    • Excellent presentation, communication, and influencing skills

    • Knowledge of HVAC/R or construction/service industries preferred

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive organizational initiatives across teams

    • Willingness to travel up to 30%

Physical Requirements

  • Continuously able to work in office environment/remotely
  • Continuously able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, telephone, and computer printer
  • Continuously able to sit at a computer for up to 8 hours
  • Able to alternate between sitting and standing, as needed throughout the day
  • Occasionally able to lift up to 15
  • Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking
  • Occasionally requires walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching
  • Rarely requires climbing
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
