What You’ll Be Doing

As a Purchasing Specialist at Nextech, you’ll play a critical role in strengthening purchasing accuracy, spend visibility, and cost control across the organization. This is a hands-on, analytical role where your insights directly influence smarter buying decisions and long-term savings.
  • Own and maintain accurate product costs, pricing, vendor details, part classifications, and purchasing data within our ERP system
  • Monitor vendor spend, rogue spend, and purchasing activity to identify off-contract buying and non-compliant behavior
  • Analyze purchase orders, pricing trends, and spend patterns to uncover cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
  • Compare actual purchases against negotiated vendor pricing to ensure pricing compliance and contract adherence
  • Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to support vendor negotiations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Prepare and deliver recurring reports on vendor spend, rogue spend, pricing compliance, and savings opportunities for Operations and leadership
  • Collaborate closely with internal partners to gather data, align purchasing activity, and support better purchasing discipline
  • Proactively communicate vendor or office-related issues to leadership
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately and in compliance with company policies and client specifications
  • Contribute positively to a professional, collaborative, and high-integrity work environment
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and business goals

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, analytical professional who thrives in data-driven environments and takes ownership of purchasing accuracy and compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, supply chain management, or a similar role
  • Expert-level Excel skills with the ability to analyze and present complex data clearly
  • Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and organization
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and the ability to learn new software quickly
  • Power BI experience is a plus
  • Previous purchasing or vendor management experience in the HVAC industry is strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams

 

Physical Requirements

  • Continuously able to work in office environment
  • Continuously able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery,
    such as a copy machine, telephone, and computer printer
  • Continuously able to sit at a computer for up to 8 hours
  • Able to alternate between sitting and standing, as needed throughout the day
  • Occasionally able to lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking
  • Occasionally requires walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling,
    pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching
  • Rarely requires climbing
